☀ I have spent a month building this forum, now comes the hard part: finding members! We are just starting to get the word out (yes, there are helpers), and even as an unknown forum (no Google finding yet) there are 25+ visitors each day. This surprises me, but if you are a visitor and reading this, why not join? This assumes your are a senior citizen. There won't be any SnapChatting or Instagraming, no news about trendy anything. BO-ring. But if you are in the desired demographic, sign up and get started.
Me? My day always starts early, and I enjoy fixing my breakfast and then getting started reading web pages. I'm still finding things to help make this forum (and two others I work with) a better experience for people. Note: A forum is not like Facebook, it's better.

It will be a good day.
It seems a higher-up has made a snap decision with no understanding of what he is denying? The limited info presented to start a conversation about adding free wi-fi here was enough to get told "not at this time!" But this is not over, we will do an end run. This group deserves WiFi at no cost so that we all have critical access to information on the Internet. Email too. And maybe a few minutes of a cat playing the piano?

Good morning? Sure. I'm still talking to myself, but ever hopeful that there will be others who will come to realize this can be a nice place to start their day.
I have new ideas to work on. How to help non users discover what they could gain by owning a tablet and using the Internet! I do not fear an uphill challenge. It will be interesting to see how this goes. I plan to eventually station myself at the mailboxes to see if I can demo my iPad and explain a bit about wi-fi.
Today I will make a little database to help collect names of residents who would like free wi-fi. HQ (the office) needs to realize that this is an essential feature for a community of seniors who should have access to information,....and maybe a cat playing the piano.

A cool good morning at 32°. Nice.
Getting more info on the planned wifi network. ASk Comcast what guarantees a signal on upper floors in "distant" ends of the building? Found out the signal goes 3000 feet! That should so it. Now to work on selling the idea to HQ,...or turning to a few friends and starting a network without HQ money. I'd rather not, but the network is important enough, it will happen.
I have a good day planned, but first? Breakfast.

Another cool morning: 34°. I guess this info will be interesting as the year progresses. Meanwhile I continue hoping to find that somebody has bravely signed in. Maybe today I can get a few more notices put up, but with tags to tear off to remind what the URL is. Ironic that yesterday's news was about the millions of people who are catagorized as lonely! Living alone and maybe no contact with any friends for up to 30 days. The irony? This forum would help solve that, at least for a small group, if only people would discover it. See? Sleep a little longer, the day warms up a bit. 38° after a light rain during the early hours.
Now comes the two problems of the day: 1)how to get a little more steam built up to get this forum visited; and 2)promote the idea of wi-fi to management!
Somehow it would be wrong for me to become the owner of the service. What if I were beamed up by aliens and I took the keys with me? Better if HQ were paying the bill.
Time for breakfast.

An early start this morning. 39°, weather says rain comes in this evening. Meanwhile my day has a list. Not only do I get to work on another new forum getting started, I have to be ready for an inspection~ I wonder why so soon? We just had one several weeks ago, but it is what it is. I'm pretty sure I will pass the test.
And I will be looking to revise a database that has caught the attention of others. Wish I could sell this as an app; it's a good database.

Plans for spme serious forum work today, but not this one. When will somebody else be brave enough to join and post? With 34 Guest visits this morning, I'm so curious.

A second try! I did this at 5:30 but aooarently didn't hit POST! Nice. Well, it's 34° and so what?
I started off with a big problem when my Mac was missing a few functions. No zoom, no invert colors, etc. Another call to Apple. Much fiddling, funally the guy asked if I had restarted? Uh, no. Restart, all fixed. Left me feeling pretty stupid for not just trying that.
Let's see if I can be more productive today.

39° at 4AM, winter is not so wintery. Another nice day on tap, not that I really notice. I stay busy with forum modifications and barely look to see what the weather is. I'll try to do better today. Check my poor plants, see if the humminbird bottle needs a refill. Yes, very busy. Irons in the fire now include the bariatric forum, the continuing saga of this forum (25 visitors, nobody joining) and now my note to Bucycle Lou to suggest I starta forum for the FB Group. I keep trying. And the idea of going to the Crocker for a showing of Plein Air paintings of Monterey landscapes? That would be fun. To interest artists candy and lynne227? I can try.

41° at 4:45. My, some winter! Maybe I can check my plants to see if they are reacting to the first signs of impending Spring? And it is already comical to see a string of good morning messages to me. I need to polish my plea to HQ and get down to talk with them about wi-fi or I will forever be the sole occupant of yet another fourm nobody visits. But my jailhouse routine is pretty well established now, six months of repetition will do that. Samual Pepys* ended his daily musings with "And so to bed." I will now start my day musings with "And so to bread!" as I go to make a slice of toast and jam to go with my tea. *and would the late George Meshke be proud of me for remembering his excellent Englidsh classes now 50+ years after high school? I think he would. RIP, George.

Winter is over! 50° at 5:15? And the morning news is all about the start of a new drought. Add that the big Nature news is the Super Moon Blue Moon with an eclipse. I wish I could still go out to see it! My astronomy days are over now, but that's okay.

Wow, did I slip up? I wrote a snip this morning but maybe I got sidetracked hearing the news about the "speech" last night. It irritates me that this clown is bragging about killing health care and promoting "beautiful clean coal!" I think I spaced out and failed to hit the post button.

48° at 5:30 and the news is talking about how warm it is for Feb. I agree.
So another interesting day with experimenting with wi-fi as I open my artdoc network to Lynne. She was having no trouble using her iPad to watch a movie and that is what I have been trying to sell! We need feww wi-fi here at CSS. We could all stand to save sending $50+ for cable services. I know U'd love to have my $85 bill go for grocerues and other needs.
Now to see if I can get some forum work done. It will be a good day, I'm sure.
