A chilly 27° at 6 this morning. I trust my poor plants are okay. I at least moved them down to the floor and away from the open "window" of the porch.
Then I had mr breakfast and listened to more depressing news of the world and "political" crap. Onward...
I called Comcast and made progress in preparing to switch to Internet Essentials in July! Hey, getting ducks i a row doesn't hurt. $10 a month vs. $86? Hell yes. - - - Closing out the day, I did five minutes on my bike and 15 minutes on the treadmill. Doesn't sound like much but after six months of nothing, leg muscles don't remember how to pedal but fortunately I ca still walk. The advice was to stop at 15 minutes to keep from (re)developing a foot ulcer! I'm down with that. So I will build up, 15 minutes at a time.

28° at 4:30, now on to business. Strange to say, another inspection today. Then again tomorrow! Talk about inefficient corporate management! Meanwhile the alien goo continues to coat my bathroom counter. I live with it because I have such a negative opinion of the office staff. Today I will call YANA to maybe get "lonely seniors" to know about The Grapevine. A daily phone call is nice, but why not a chance to really communicate with other seniors? Gotta get people to recognize that it is a digital age and there's no turning back. Oooh, weather forecast is calling for a "dusting of snow" in Pville tonight! I must look out the window. - - - UPDATE: I want another breakfast! My standard eggs and hashbrowns are too good and I need another dose. Eggs are delicious with Trader Joe's Red Dragon sriracha, or the Green Dragon version with jalapeño. I need to remind my self of the flavor of Huy Fong's Rooster Sriracha. And FYI, the origin of the sauce is Si Racha, a coastal town in Thailand where many versions of a local sauce are made. Now I want to find out why there is an R in the name?

34° at 4:00, little chance of snow (so it seems) but the day is young.
News starts and is is insane. School shooting brings out the idiocy of the NRA and fumbling ineffective speeches from the most inarticulate president ever. He make Bush seem like a Harvard lecturer. I am rationing my orange juice, trying to make what I have last another week! I don't think it will. I sure love my morning OJ when I swallow my pills. Now to decide whether the fix offs with Green Dragon, or go simple with Corn Chex? Importsmt details of the morning, for sure, Then it's time to review the info of sugar in the blood and problems of biochemistry. Then wait for firemen to inspect, SNAP to call for my interview, and wait for snowflakes./ Life is good.

23‡ at 6? And some snow on the ground. And the news is all about it being TOAST Day! Who knew there was a Toast Day? WHY is there a Toast Day? And of course my next thing is to go get a cuppa and a slice of...toast.

26flat 4:30, but no snow this morning. I am being very happy that my early predictions that I would be surprised if I ever wanted to turn on heat here. Every day, comfortable enough, no need to heat up. I think a life of living in a cold shop has made this place (even at 67°, lowest I have yet seen here at my desk) seem fine. Now watch the weather drop and I will have frost on my desk.
I have been trying to get a better handle on what I spend on groceries, and today I think I have found I can up the budget a bit! I have really trimmed my list and I sam actually staying pretty close to my austerity amount, so my next list will have some extras. I can add a bit to Trader Joe's list, and even pick up a few things from Amazon.
Now, on to breakfast.

30° at 6, nd it's Sunday, so Meet the Press. And the first day I have realized what a stupid idea this forum is. "If you build it, they will come" wa neat movie slogan, but in two months of waiting foe somebody to join,...<crickets!>
I need to have a purpose. Right now? I got nuthin'.

26° at 4:39, but I cheated. It's now after 6 and I have done some forum work and even made my usual breakfast. I was in no hurry to add a hello good morning message to me that nobody else ever sees.
Hey, it's actually raining! Yep, wen to the balcony and stuck my hand out...and it's rating. News guy said later today it could be snowing down to maybe 1000ft? I will have to see that. Maybe he said that was for Thur/Fri? I dunno, but there is some real e=weather on the list for the week to come. How exciting.
It's been about 10 days now that my helper has been in Las Vegas, I am ready for some groceries. They must not have wi-fi in Vegas since I have had one short message days ago, nothing since. I hope she didn't;t rent a place and quit me. - - - UPDATE: A big day for me now as I just dared to CANCEL BOTH Netflix and Amazon Prime! Trying to pick a movie on Netflix is an optical circus with everything enlarging and reducing with every movement of the cursor over a field of video samples! I cannot READ the info presented, and when I do give one a try, it turns out to be crap. I don't so much mind an F bomb but when it seems to be the main part of the dialog? Tiresome. So good bye Netflix. Amazon has never been an easy way to select a video, and now it has changed to become even harder. G'bye Prime for free videos, and free shipping? C'mon. Two days no charge? If I skip FREE and just wait, it will be here in three or four days. I can wait. $100 refunded. Now I can subscribe to PBS Passport and get some good stuff to watch. This is nice.

30° at 4:30, but nothing to add. A) Using standard Becode spoiler... Nobody! It's a waste of my time. - - - My solution to the problem? Dare to test the unknown! - - - Your text all goes here and should line up with the image.[br/]Maybe there is a lot to say? Content in your div goes here.

39° at 4, I'm up early again because my thoughts are keeping me busy. Today I want to "perfect" sizing a photo with the Add Image tool on the BP forum (practicing here, of course) to prepare for one last (?) shot at adding a special Exhibit of "What is it?" photos of 2' FtSq images with Spoiler tagged answers. And I want to develop my idea of diabetes and the mechanic who simply checks the fluid levels and tire pressure, leaving it to the owner to learn how the damn motor works. Pvile Diabetes Education? Not impressed.

It was 36 at 3 this morning. It's a bit crazy that my dreams get so goofy that I wake up and have to hit the Mac to jot down few ideas. So I get ready with a cuppa and a slice of toast, then pound away at the keyboard. It's more than frustrating to come back at 9 and find that my work is gone! I failed to hit the button to post my message! How stupid is that?
And that work was all about my feeling of being walled off an unable to get info from medical people. I feel like my PCP is sort of a mechanic who only looks over machine tests and reports my fluid levels and tire pressure. Once evert four months she set my blood pressure. It is always a bit higher at the office, so she doesn't know that my usual BP is a lot lower than it used to be. I expect another good A1c report but really have stopped caring. I'm doing so well other doctors tell me I am well under control/ So I don't obsess, I eat what I want, at least aware of what my food list should be and that's what I buy.

36° at 4, and so it goes. Yesterday was a bit odd since it was blood-draw day. Up early gave me four hours to wait and I had to remain fasting! Zero food before the draw. That was hard, I felt hungry. Then I felt "different" and checked GL again. My number was 67! Entering the danger zone and yet can't have anything to help. Then finally at the center, I asked if I could take a glucose tablet and the blood worked asked if it was on my prescription list? Uh, no. Does my doctor know I use them? Uh, maybe? All =in-all, a strange morning at blood world.
But the day got better when we went for tacos, then to the SNAP HQ to finish the paperwork to get a SNAP card. Now to wait to see how much it will be?

45° at 6, but I have been up since 4. I wanted to check some stuff, and then fix breakfast. I see I am losing steam for working on this unknown forum. - - - End of the day: Got approved for cataract surgery! Now to decide when. And Bonus News" Having just quit Amazon Prime to get my $100 back, then finding the first thing I needed to order had a delivery charge of $6! Today they announce that Prime is now available for $6 a month for MediCal people. I think I will go back.

My diurnal schedule is inverting. This day started at 3 (once I had spent ten minutes tying my stupid shoes) because I keep waking up with too much brain activity and I need to get to writing. I have a few good ideas and nobody to talk to. I'm increasingly frustrated that I am isolated, unable to find a crack in the barrier between this patient and the medical community! The more I realize that the diabetic education group is such a misnomer the more it irritates me to find that my idea of telling diabetics how glucose works to kill us but they won't because they think diabetes first damages the brain! Eighth grade level my college-educated ass. And 29-minute visits every four months? There is a lot to improve on with diabetic care.====---

The day is ending. Where have I been? Doctor fit on 3/9, busy all 3/10 refiguring my life, and today I wrote a big intro to a possible digital tool for the Community Care Network! Then proofreading was a challenge as my vision today is really shit! I hope id sharpens a bit tomorrow. If not, I'm on my way to a white cane.

Good grief, I have been avoiding this. But I am BACK ON TRACK! I got my SNAP card and it is Spring, warming weather and I am re-news! Out of hibernation. Spent the weekend planning a Shopping Tour de Force. Trader Joe for several items I have been going without due to cost but now see I can cover. Welcome back, Toscano cheese, all sour and peppery. Oh boy. Then off to buy flowers. Mom always said when you only have a dollar, spend 50¢ on food and the rest on flowers. Well, she didn't always say it but she did say it once. So today I am brimming with optimism that I will have a porch filled with flowers and greenery and one silly pink flamingo. Hummingbirds have found my new feeder, what more could I ask for? And oh yeah, 15 min on the treadmill at speed No. 2, whatever that translates to. Life is good.
