46° at 5:00! And the day starts a little late with a note that my schedule us alrready up-ended. My helper is overwhelmed with other clients with much more serious health problems, I am basucally fine! I can live without having my carpet cavuumed. I will keep busy with my Mac and wait for Monady/ Monday? Yes, I need to confront my eye specialist to find out why I don't think I'm getting the best advice?
Maybe later today I will remove these personal aneccdotes just in case one of the mystery visitors is trying to figure out if they should join? Pretty doubtful, butwho knows!

50° at 5:39? Pretty warm.
I woke up wishing several things: I wish I could see better! I wish I could be given the power to make a few improvements to the way the Gulag runs! It's a nice enough place but a few fringe benefits would be nice. There used to be two PC's sitting on a table for resident use. But it was on the third floor in a hallway, quite uninviting; sort of hidden in plain sight. Who visits the third floor? I'll bet only a few ever knew they were there. And since the scant information I have says that the people here do not think computers are for them, they simply have no friendly introduction to what they are missing. I so wish there were a way to let these Ludites know that a lousy $40/mo. to add a free wi-fi network would do to expand their limited horizons.
I also wish there could be a new bench, even a picnic table out under the tree in front. It would be nice to go sit outside as Spring comes, and maybe have some flowers in the garden? Why not? Maybe some here would like to volunteer to be gardeners once in awhile?
If HQ were on the ball, tablets and wi-fi would create a terrific all-population communication system. The heck with printing sheets and walking around to pin the tale by the door, see? I can't be the only one here who can't read the damn things~
Yep, if I were in charge, or named cruise director, there would be some changes. I need a purpose and nothing is showing up.

54° at 6:00. Just noticed whatever I posted yesterday didn't get posted yesterday! I think I get carried away thinking about other stuff (like my orange juice) and skipped the button to post the post! But the day went well and I managed to mostly skip the Super Bowl. I turned on the news at 5 and was surprised that it was justin in time for Justin Timberlake *see what I did there?) and the halftime show. I ended up watching. Didn't know which team was which team but was oddly happy to find that the underdogs won.
Today is my day for the eye clinic to try for some understanding of why my cataract is not getting any attention?

46° at 4:15. Glad to have my vision back to "normal after having my eye dilated yesterday to check on the cataract and the stete of retinopathy. I did get a better explanation of things and it was good to finally have a better understanding. I'm optimistice but not expecting any major improvemenet, just stabilized will be fine.
And today I need to push ahead on figuring out how to get CWS to get interested in providing the wi-fi network that should be a no-brainer!

48° at 4:45. Up and at it and ready for a busy day, but busy at what? I'm stuck waiting for others to do things.

52° at 6:00. Why am I doing this?Nobody reads it, but if they did, why would anyone care? Thr fading hope would be that at least a few people from CWS would join in. Since I am unlikely to ever attend a potluck dinner (what would I take? My famous quinoa black bean faux chili? Sure!) I could live here a year befoe I can say hello to anyone other than Lloyd or Lynne. I may actually have to go camp by the mailboxes with my iPad.
Big event yesterday was spending five minutes on my exercise bike! How pitiful. It's been six months with really minimal chance to walk no more than a few dozen yards on any day. Five minutes pedaling was plenty for my knees and muscled. Good grief. And my clunky shoes are no help, but damned if I want another ulcer from pressure on my Charcot. What a crappy situation. But I'll adapt.

A Saturday well spent. Obviously I failed to post a Good Morning, but I was distracted by hunger. So breakfast took priority, then a somewhat rare opportunity to listen to "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!" Then a little housework and waiting for Candy to come by. Today was planned to be a trip to Trader Joe's! Always worth while, always a bit expensive...but clearly worth it.
Also a few hours working on another forum; a bit of a challenge for me, but also worth it. So I mark it off as a good day.

45° at 8:00? And how much more light when I speep until 7, then look at pages before turning to say good morning to nobody! Such dedication. I even snoozed past Meet the Press, and I'm always early for that. But maybe I'm burned out on the reports of how loony tunes the political circus is? Turn away, try not to think about it.
So what to do taday? I have no plan. Maybe step away from the Mac and find things to do with my poor plants? Or maybe dare to maker a lentil meatloaf? Kitchen wizardry is a fun activity when I have to guess at things. Yes, that is the plan. Fake meatloaf. Good.

37° at 5:30, and I have already had my breakfast. I am becoming a wizard of scrambled eggs! Well, I am actually developing a folded omlette that frys up as a solid egg thing, so so scrambled. I like to be able to cut a bite to go with a bite of hasbrowns. So simple, so enjoyable.
I so wish I could have some way to convince companies with badly designed web pages to realize not every viewer has perfevt vision. Wow, how tiresome to find pages that think everyone uses a PC and Chrome asd a browser. That is lame. Today I have to call for help with the application for SNAP. That is just wrong.

45° at 4:30. What will the day bring? No guesses! No particular plan.
Yesterfay took an interesting turn when we headed for the offices to sign up for SNAP. I want to get that so I have a shot at the cheaper Comcast service ($10) that requires being a SNAP recipient! Interesting. I guess that is official proof I don't have a buckt of cash. Very true.

37‡? At 4:30 I am hearing the news talking about a big drop on temps next week, freezing in Pville. Meanwhile, I just spent time re-living the drive from here to Death Vakkey and on to Las Vegas! Candy is on the road to Las Vegas today and I know she is headed to LA and that miserable route. No thanks. Wish I were on the road. I also wish somebody were visiting The Graoevine. I soend too mych time gathering good info to no avail. But since I don't have any other purpose just now, so what? Now to remind myself to put in a few minutes on the bike. A little exercise would be good.

39° at 5, and a dull Saturday coming up. All I look forward to is Wait Wait on NPR, then ftom 9:00 on, grab info from Google. Today I need to get some info on low-income housing where there may be an interest in mgt. putting up a flyer to promote this stupid idea of mine! Grapevine? Indeed/ Nobody is hearing anything thru this Grapevine.
It's oddly as silly as hearing that some of the first places Comcast offered really cheap Internet was to San Francisco! Maybe one of the most expensive places in the country. Can you say oxymoron? So a forum trying to help people who don't have computers (this area) or won't pay for expensive cable and can't access the info to explain there are cheap ways to have access. Banging head on wall here.

43° at 8! *? Yes, a slow start. Actually I started at the usual time (5) but always start with tea and toast while I check the traps~ This forum, the BP forum, sometimes the garden forum, and for the heck of it, Candy's forum. Gotta see how many Guest numbers while never getting a nibble. Then it's time for Meet the Press. Why d I watch? Just because.
Then time to fiddle with the iPad to get some bookmarks added. I have to know how to explain this stuff and I have little reason to browse the web with the iPad when I'm sitting at a 27" monitor. But I did what I wanted to do, so that was worthwhile. And now I have had my scrambled eggs and hash browns, I can start investigating Audio books. I doubt I will subscribe, $15/mo. isn't too bad but I don't listen to fiction. Science oe nothing, harder to find a new title every month.

27° at 5, news says "high parts of Pville" had snow flurries! I missed. And of course there is nothing to report here. 26 visitors, zero participation. What a waste of my valuable time! Of course my time is wotyj nothing, so no harm done.
Oooh, it's a holiday today! Like that changes anything. Nothing changes.
