It seems a stretch, but yes, it could happen. In 2021, the Caldor fire nearing Pollack Pines was rumored to be heading this way. Now in 2022, other fires near enough to be concerned. After a Fire Alarm a few weeks ago that left many people standing around in the hallways just wondering what was happening, it was clear that we need some better idea of how to be ready for an emergency. And since a real fire situation could endup having some or all needing to evacuate. We could use a plan that the Fire Dept. could recommend. As a point, when the Caldor fire really did have some areas evacuating, people in vehicles collected at the Walmart parking lot and became a small community for several days. So it seems we need two plans :one for residents with no vehicles, and another for those who have a car and can probably go to a local friend or relative to wait it out. On foot? here is a list of what you might want to have to wait out an hour or maybe overnight! If you have a vehicle, here is your plan: (this will be added)
