The local big name stores have most anything yo want. Of course there are times that you cannot find just the right thing you have a real wish for! Here are more local options:
WinCo Foods: Located in Folsom, WinCo seems popular enough to warrant a trip with El Dorado Transit each week. But if you try to shop online, you get this message:
Sorry, we couldn't find any results for "peanut butter 1918" at this store. That item may not be available for
online ordering, but may be available in-store."

Grocery Outlet is a local favorite. Order online and get delivery with Instacart. If you have never been there, or missed their the TV ads, you don't know that hey specialize in odd lots! Prodicts that are obviously still within expiration dates, but were over-ordered by some chain, or maybe a label design changed and "old" stock goes to Grocery Outlet. Some names you have never heard of, a good many are very familiar brands, and the prices are really a nice surprise. Having shopped there many times when I actually went to stores, I promise you will find some good deals on all sorts of products. From absolute basics to upscale wines and cheeses. Well worth a try.
Costco is well known, but a trip to Folsom? Yes, they do deliver to Placerville, using Instacart. Be SURE to check the delivery charge because of the longer distance! You might still want that giant box of Wheaties and an industrial size of laundry soap, …and maybe a hot dog?
Trader Joe's deserves a mention, but you really have to go there. Or do you? I'm surprised to find that Amazon Prime customers can actually order items from TraderJoe's! This a big surprise, but you really need to be familiar with what is there to know what you can order, and even an idea of what TJ sells it for? The price you find with Prime is, shall we say, marked up? I found a few items on Amazon that are TJ tem I do by at the store, but with Prime, they are twice or three times what I pay at the store in Folsom. Example:Trader Joe's Cowboy Caviar Corn Black Beans & Pepper Salsa: 13 oz (Pack of 3) $24.26. I pay $3.50, so 3 for $10. • TJ's Multigrain Crackers: REDUCED from $13.95, now $11.74! Yikes, I pay about $2.95. I guess this is how Bezos pays for his rocket ships!
