More of our stores use Instacart than any of the other delivery choices, and I am starting to see why it might be worth the money! At $10 a month, if your order each week, or even twice in the month, you are almost certain to go over $35, so that trip is free. I think I have that right? And every delivery includes a 5% tip! Or more, IF YOU chose.
Looking at the website, you will find that most any store you want to shop in Placerville is listed, and some Folsom choices like Costco? I wonder if they will send a hot dog with your case of beans? Check their fees and ways to schedule. Note that an order over $35 comes FREE. Of course there is that base membership fee of $10 a month, or $100 for the year.
"Safeway: FreshPass is a contender, for sure. Safeway prices are good (see example prices) and FreshPass sounds hard to beet: "Only $99.00 / year or $12.99 / month (+ tax)) FreshPass™ offers unlimited free delivery and even two-hour delivery in some areas! Get whatever groceries you want whenever you need them." I found no mention of any minimum order total, and unlimited should mean every other day, if you run out of something.
Target uses Shipt. Target website says "Same Day Delivery: Have groceries, essentials and more left at your door by a Shipt shopper. But the Shipt website says they do not yet deliver to 95667! "We’re getting our deliveries in a row and hope to be in this area soon. Leave your email and we’ll let you know as soon as service is available."
Raley's says they use Instacart, but DoorDash seems to also say they deliver for all Raley stores! I went my account and changed Pick UP to Delivery; I had to put in my ZIP code. and the result just said a delivery would be $9.95, but does not say what company is doing it. DoorDash seems to be more about bringing hamburgers or pizzas, no mention of grocery charges.
Save Mart also uses Instacart. Two stores for you to shop in. See a few prices compared to other stores here.
