With area temps already headed to 90° and more, you might consider what it costs to run your A/C all day, and maybe for the night! Here is my solution: a Honeywell TurboForce Air Circulator that sits on my desk and serves me just fine. Less than $20. It's multi-speed and puts out a good breeze that keeps me cool. Check out[a href=" fan"] THIS fan[/a]. It can replace the need for the overhead fan in the bedroom you put one on the nightstand. Even better if you put it on a timer to shut off during the hours. - - - Here's a different idea: A really small fan that runs on a USB connection! It is also good for the desk or nightstand, and is under $15. Check it out. This one does stay in my bedroom so I don't have to keep moving the bigger fan from my desk. It also serves on may porch when I use the USB adapter and plug in to the porch outlet. A hot day and I still have a handy cool breeze. Life is good. Consider the Mini Fan! In addition to this USB powered mini fan, if (when?) the power goes out, you will be happy to have a Power Block, a solar-charged back up battery. Read bout it here in another forum page. When your A/C is not working and your desk fan is quiet and you are hot, plug your mini-fan into this back-up battery and be happy. Of course don't overlook the fact that your cellphone will also be needing a charge, and this battery placed in sunlight will recharge. I have simply leaned it in a window with bright light (no direct sun) and it recharged in a decent time. Well worth it.
