Necklaces and buttons cost you a fee every month. You have heard heard the commercial with a woman saying "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!" A very concerned operator with a furrowed brow announces "Don't worry! Help is on the way!" A fire engine races off to pick up the unlucky woman, who is sort of sitting up and able to handle that button.
Hmmm. I suppose these things do save lives every day, but I still wonder what happens if the fallen person has hit their head and might be knocked out?
Enter the Smart Watch that has Fall Detection. If you go down, hard, it knows. It then waits a minute for you to cancel the call it wants to make.If you are okay, no EMT shows up. But if you do not cancel, you have medical help in a few minutes. (I can vouch for this! –Steve) A medical watch uses Bluetooth to connect to your smartphone.
Do a Google search for the watches that go with whatever smartphone you have. I use an iPhone and the Apple Watches are my choice. There are so many brands for Android OS phones that you must find your best choice. But along with choosing the watch, you may want to get a charge pad for it! Apple watches us a USB device that plugs in to the Power Bank. Androids use magnetic disks, so that is a big difference.
