Oh my goodness! I made the best French Onion Soup yesterday... I modified the recipe due to finances and it turned out awesome!
Ingredients
1 Cup Butter 2 medium onions sliced 2 Bay Leafs 2 sprigs Thyme 2 Tbsp Diced Garlic 2 Tbsp Worcester Sauce 3 cups Beef Bullion Sour Dough bread Shredded Parmesan Cheese
1) Place butter, onions, bay leaf, thyme, garlic, and Worcester sauce in a Dutch Oven. Cook on medium heat until Onions are caramelized. 2) Add beef bullion and simmer on low, stirring often, for 1 hour. 3) In a serving size crock, place a piece of sour dough, pour soup with onions on top, only fill 3/4 the way. 4) Sprinkle heavy shredded Parmesan cheese and place in oven until cheese is melted. 5) Let cool for 3-5 minutes and serve.
