Written 18 months ago... - - - The DAY WILL COME. Meanwhile, dr54am on... Candy and I were planning on offering a local field trip each month, but a broken leg caused a change in the plan! So I decided that while we wait for bones to heal, I should list the trips that were being discussed. Why wait for us? If you have a car, get a few friends together, pick a trip and head out! All of this trips are local and generally free! Of course a few will have a smalll admission charge (Crocker asks for a donation; it is free, but you are expected to put some money in the box. Do the right thing.) And the fish hatchery is interesting at any time, but autumn is when the fish ladder gets lots of salmon heading back home.) So take a trip and report back. - - - Placerville's Community Observatory. Well, a good idea was scuttled when COVID-19 cancelled most everything. This plan was just getting started when Candy and I wanted to get small groups to go off for a local excursion to enjoy some nearby bit of fun. We had one trip planned for Lake Tahoe and the Fall Fish Fest, but that trip never left the parking lot! But things are coming back to a new normal, and we are determined to get the idea back onto the list of things to do. This will be better explained as I can update and check plans made almost two years ago (!), so do keep this forum bookmarked. There will be plenty of new info coming soon. Please join the forum, or let me know if you have questions.
