Haiku? If that is unfamiliar word, is a Japanese form of poetry, very specific in that it uses three lines, five syllables in the first, then seven, then five again. It should be very formal ( read this description) but we have had fun with this by being more relaxed, with apologies to purists! But it can be fun to compose a thought expressed with the 5,7,5 limit. Here is a sample to inspire your quirky non-classic entries: Where do blackbirds go when seeds and bugs disappear? Fast food parking lots! Give it a try. It's easy. Add some of yours...

Tiny hummimgbird, Aztec warrior, returns busy with flowers! - - - N.B. If you didn't click the link, Aztecs believed a warrior lost in battle would return as a hummingbird! Pretty cool.

This isn't my poem, but I thought we all needed to read it.
There was a young man From Cork who got Limericks And Haikus confused.
And now we all can. Thanks to DJ Steele

A loony monkey runs the zoo while others watch. It's almost funny.
